Applesauce

We made applesauce this week!  

First the children washed their hands, then scrubbed their apple.
  



We learned how to carefully and independently use an all-in-one apple peeler, corer, and slicer.  The children were fascinated with the apparatus and were thrilled they could do it by themselves. 





Next the children used a safe crinkle cutter to cut the apples into smaller pieces.  



The children added sugar and cinnamon, and then we cooked it in a crock pot.  The highlight was serving what they made to their parents at the Parent Breakfast, and eating it for snack the next day.
